The Uniform and Kit is broken down into three sections.  Legionaries should develop their impression in this order.

• Primary/Europeant Uniform
• Parade Uniform
• Tropical Uniform

From time to time, the legion may find itself at festivals or shows where a slightly more formal appearance is appropriate.  To this end, the Blackshirt will wear the normal European combat uniform.  If he has earned a ribbon (see Legion Field Guide regarding medals and awards) and has the medal for it, he will be allowed to wear it.  

The parade uniform also adopts black puttees instead of the standard grigio-verde.  Headgear is the black M33 helmet with yellow MVSN assault stencil.  (Off-duty headgear while in parade dress is restricted to the black fez for enlisted men, a minority of bustinas may be worn with the combat uniform only.)  The black tie is required for this uniform and white cotton gloves.  Equipment worn is limited to the waistbelt, ammunition pouch, bayonet and frog, and neckstrap.  

Only officers are to wear the blue shoulder sash.  Officers may wear the black helmet, rigid fez, or visor cap.
